Depression is a very bad thing. It is a silent killer. It should be avoided as much as possible. How do you know that you are depressed? Ask yourself the following questions:
-Am i always tired or fatigued?
-Do i have problem falling sleep?
-When i wake up from sleep, do i feel refreshed?
-Do i have little interest in doing those things i normally enjoy?
-Do i feel sad or hopeless?
If you answer yes to some or all of these questions, it is obvious that you are depressed.
To be free from depression, take the following steps:
1. Be thankful all the time: Make up your mind to be thankful to God all the time. Always look for reasons to be thankful to God.
2. Control your thinking pattern: Stop thinking negatively. Always look at the brighter side of things
3. Socialize: Make new friends. Do not isolate yourself from friends and family members.
4. Develop new interests: You can decide to set new goals to learn a new language, to learn a new vocation, etc. These activities will shift your focus away from your worries and help you to overcome your troubles.
5. Pray to God: Learn to cast all your burdens upon God and learn to trust Him.

8 Practices That Make You Stay Healthy
People commonly say that health is wealth. This is very true because only a healthy person can truly be rich. I would like to share these eight practices, which i believe will make my readers stay healthy
1. Practice deep breathing: When you breathe very deeply a large volume of oxygen gets into the body system and carbon-dioxide is excreted from the body system. This is very good for the body system. It has the added advantage of relieving tensions.
2. Have adequate sleep: It is important for us to sleep adequately. Not having enough sleep is not good for a healthy lifestyle. You know the amount of sleep that is good for you, do not deprive yourself of sleep for any reason. Also avoid sleeping late and watching horror films before sleep.
3. Play Christian music and hymns: Good music has the benefit of cooling the nerves and assisting us to sleep very soundly. Avoid loud music however. If the music is too loud, you may be deprived of good sleep. Good music is not only good for a good sleep, it is of benefit as you do your day to day activities in the house.
4. Exercise regularly: It is good to exercise our bodies regularly. You can do this by walking for one or two hours per week. This is particularly true of people who sit down for so many hours at work .
5. Put off the lights at night: It is not very convenient to sleep soundly when the lights are on. Some results of research by researchers suggest that exposure to light at night may hinder the production of melatonin, a hormone that can inhibit the growth of tumors.
6. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables: Fruits and vegetables have a lot of nutrients that are good for the body. The fibre in these foods is also important for good bowel movement.
7. Practice meditation: Meditating regularly has a benefit of cooling the nerves. It helps to relieve tensions and to give us a favourable dispositions. We can achieve this by meditating on the promises of God in the Bible.
8. Respect and Adore your parents: Researchers report that those who have a loving and caring relationship with their parents are likely to live longer, they are less likely to develop sickness such as heart problems and high blood pressure.

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE
I sympathize with all south Africans on the death of the father of the
nation, Mr. Nelson Mandela. It is a thing of joy however that Mandela
spent his life to make his people free . Africans will not forget him,
everyone who is oppressed all over the world will also not forget him.
All we can do at this time is to promise ourselves that we will carry on
the good work which he did while he was alive. May his soul rest in
peace.
